Dr. Kimberly Tran joined Associated Retina Consultants in 2024 as a vitreoretinal specialist and surgeon. She completed her ophthalmology residency and surgical retina fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, one of the top ranked training programs in the nation. She has been a board-certified ophthalmologist with a subspecialty in diseases and surgery of the retina since 2018. She has practiced vitreoretinal surgery in academic and private practice since 2018.
Dr. Tran has been a clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Miami and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of South Dakota. Her research has been published in national and international journals of ophthalmology. Dr. Tran is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Retina Specialists, and American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Tran’s philosophy of care is that every patient has the right to understand their condition and options for treatment, and to participate in decisions regarding their care. She is committed to treating each patient as she would want her own family members treated.
Dr. Tran has conversational skills in Spanish and Vietnamese and loves spending time with her family and in the great outdoors.
