Uveitis treatment
Uveitis is the inflammation of the uvea, which is the pigmented layer that lies between the inner retina and the outer fibrous layer composed of the sclera and cornea. It requires an exam by an ophthalmologist or optometrist and is considered an emergency requiring immediate treatment. Treatment and prognosis of uveitis varies greatly, which is why an exam is needed.
Symptoms of uveitis can include:
- Floaters
- Blurred vision
- Redness of the eye
- Eye pain
- Light sensitivity
There are other symptoms, which is why an eye exam is required for proper diagnosis. For more information, please contact Associated Retina Consultants at 602-242-4928 or associatedretinaconsultants.com.
